Meet Ballpark!

Bold Journey Magazine doesn’t just cover big stories, they also run a series spotlighting small, up and coming artists through the recommendations of other artists. We were honored to be featured… and we’re still wondering who put our name in.

 –  We play what we like to play, in short. We’re currently writing a new album that we believe is our most defined sound yet. But if you’re just itching to give us a listen, we released our EP “Songs From The Blue Shed” earlier this year.

 –  You’re not putting on a set, you’re putting on a SHOW

It’s hard to get out of your head sometimes, but you have to picture yourself onstage. Would an audience get excited about some people standing in a line playing songs for 45 minutes? Probably not. Move around, have fun with it, and enjoy the ride!

Rising From the dorms

This article, written by Recycled Records in Longmont CO, gives you a quick look at, well, us! It highlights our Progressive sound and how we went from the CSU dorms to playing in Denver!

 –  It’s a quick read, and after you can check out an amazing record store! We will definitely be checking it out next time were in Longmont.

An orginial mixtape

An interview with Sophia Vorhauer-Rubalcave before our performance on January 26th at Globe Hall. This was the first time we’ve had someone interview us and document our performance for a magazine. It allowed us to showcase how we’ve grown as a band in the last two years and show off some of our performance skills.

“While watching the band prepare for their set, they discussed the placement of a so-called ‘Pyramid’. This perplexed me, a Pyramid?”

– Sophia Vorhauer-Rubalcave

“Each and every member has shockingly differen inspirations from one another.”

– Sophia Vorhauer-Rubalcave

“‘It can’t just be what it is,’ Max says while strumming the guitar quietly. ‘There always has to be a little extra sauce.'”

– Max Frost

The Void: Hollow

Touch and Go: An Interview with Ballpark!

In an interview with Nathan Jamet of The Void magazine, we had the chance to share our musical journey. We talked about how we formed as a band, the musical influences that have shaped our sound, and the creative process behind our song writing. We also opened up about our hopes for the future, and how we plan to continue connecting with our fans and creating music that speaks to them.

Some quotes from the interview:

“Doing those jam sessions with Kai were more stressfull then my SAT’s”     -Max

The image relayed to me was one of Kai passing down holy musical judgement upon those who dared stand before him”    -Interviewer

“Were throwing as many darts at the dartboard as we can […] We wanna give people, like, a smorgasborg of things to try right?”  -Max
